Really pleased with my outing at The Big Cow, British Middle Distance Championships after quite a block of training so I can now lay claim to being British Middle Distance Vet Champion!
I have won lots of Age Group titles, but I have not quite made it to the overall podium at a National Chmapionships before, best previously has been 5th at National Olympic Distance AG champs… so I was delighted to make the cut.
I did have the lead on the bike and missed 2nd by 10 secs, but I am delighted with how things are coming together.
Here is a quirky picture of myself and Mike. He was holding up a sign saying LEADER after lap 1 and lap 2, although on lap 2 Tracey Cooke and I were together…felt like being on the Tour or something. Really busy so will write a bit more sometime…
