Not the words you want to hear from a radiologist who scans your foot meticulously and concludes that the soreness I have been feeling is not anything new, still raging plantar faciitis….urghhh. I reckon he ought to have seen it last year as far as I am concerned this feels million miles better. So it turns out I still have a long way to go, …but then you go and see the foot consultant who continues to reassure me I can run through this if I can put up with the soreness. He still reassures me it will one day just go away. So quite an emotional week with all my race plans all mapped out for this year, I’ll just take each race as it comes and see what is possible. I don’t have any concerns about my first race next week, Grendon sprint, for which the main mission is to see if Mike can secure a qualifying slot for Budapest worlds. I’d like to see how the foot holds up but I am confident at this distance that everything will be fine, lets see!…
